CARS, CARS AND FUTURE STARS: THE LONDON BRIDGE FESTIVAL
Imagination, inspiration and individuality. It was here in abundance at the press launch of the inaugural, London Bridge Festival as Hays Galleria transformed into a surreal, comic carnival. The charm of this evening was that anyone who walked by would be pulled into the maelstrom of motorcade madness, provided by Zipcar Theatre.
With a shared theme of car comedy, the acts performed, 'Granny Theft Auto', 'Crashing the Party' and 'Four Cars and a Clown,' were creative concoctions. They certainly gave a new dimension to 'joy riding.'
Cynics may say that this festival is a cheap imitation of Edinburgh.
They would be wrong. This taster suggests that the vision of Greg Tallent and Victoria Silverman will be executed with entertaining edge.
