This week saw the announcement of the official programme of the London Film Festival which kicks off next month. The programme is packed with exiting new films from all corners of the globe including Holloway Road(Telstar directed by Nick Moran) , more of this later.

The Opening Gala film is Ron Howard's new film "Frost/Nixon," which is about the former president Richard Nixon and his encounter with David Frost.

There are many big hitters such as Oliver Stone's "W.” the story of George W. Bush’s rise to power played by Josh Brolin and an all star cast, “The Shindig”, and "1 2 3 4" from director Giles Borg. The big surprise through was the announcement that Quantum of Solace, the next instalment of the James Bond franchise will be part of the festival.

Moving on to the British entries, we were fortunate to have interviews with director Pat Holden about his forthcoming film Awaydays. We also spoke with Destiny Ekaragha who at 26 has just completed her first short film Tight Jeans. Riz Ahmed also speaks at length about his role as drug dealer Shifty in the film of the same name.

Returning to Telstar, shot in the Holloway Road area (a stone’s throw from our office) we can tell you that we will be doing a special feature on the film during the festival, so watch this space.
